1. Pieces of Mischief
Mischief is, as the name suggests, a mischievous character who often spends his time maintaining a busy or nonchalant appearance - as if your affection is of no interest. But in the heat of summer you will find this calico cat curled in a contented coma, as if in a bed of roses.
This was the first print in The Curious Collection - ten new artworks released over ten days to celebrate the launch of this site www.erinforsyth.com!
The original artworks were added daily to an exhibition as part of POP DOWN, Ponsonby Central, 6 Richmond Rd, Auckland. All original artworks have now found homes but you can still bring home a piece of Mischief and other prints through the online store.
Have you seen this egg? It's called 'The Good Egg'. It's one of 100 customized by artists, then hidden around the country. A little bird (called Ronsard Chuang) told me it was somewhere in Wellington (at Rex Royale to be precise!!!).
Each of the 100 eggs were up for auction on Trademe with all funds from the sale of this egg go towards the Starship Foundation to support our national children's hospital.
A big thank you to the bidder that won this egg via the charity auction hosted by Trademe.

With a nod to the classic hand-drawn animations 'Mickey's Haunted House' and 'Cab Calloway meets Betty Boop - St James Infirmary' Erin made those skeles dance over two floors of the Converse HQ in Auckland, New Zealand. A mixture of materials was used to create a flat cartoon finish in a popping colour combination.

The Converse x Amazon live screen print event, held at Amazon Downtown, Auckland, Friday March 27 and Saturday March 28.
Erin Forsyth designed the screen-print pictured above based on classic Converse imagery (panther, lobster, skull) for this special activation which featured live screen-printing in store for Amazon and Converse customers in Auckland's busy downtown shopping centre.
A host of other great artists were involved including Guy Bellerby, Ethan Williams, Ryan Bird, Charles Williams, Joshua Solomon and Janine Williams. In store screen printing was nicely managed by Bellerby & Villan.
